Wrought Iron Designs Tips Archive
From time to time, I will be writing a tip on wrought iron designs and will put the collection of tips on this page.
Tip #1
From time to time, apply a coat of furniture wax to clean your wrought iron and keep the finish like new. The rest of the time just clean your pieces frequently with a soft, lint-free cloth.
Tip #2
If you find nicks or chips in your wrought iron that expose the bare iron, you can fix this with rust resistant paint.
If you find rust already there, rub the rust stain with kerosene or a commercial rust remover and scour gently with a fine steel wool. Then touch up with the rust resistant paint.
Tip #3
If you are a do-it-yourselfer, you might want to find some unique wrought iron pieces at an Architectural Salvage Outlet. To find one in your area, look in the Yellow Pages or online under “Architectural Salvage.”
Tip #4
